We’re back , me and my Otter Sister and we’re crazier than ever 😉
It looks like our brains don’t appreciate being put under anesthesia and especially not when they were given only one month and a half to try to bounce back after the first one .
But on the other side this gives us a perfect excuse to forget to turn the dishwasher on , or run it twice in a row or not even loading it at all , and to not follow and participate in conversations that we’re not interested in at all ! Ah Ah Bad Turtle 🙂
Add to that the effects of instant onset of surgical menopause coupled with the hottest summer ever in a non-air conditioned house (yesterday we measured 30ºC/86ºF inside !) 😦 . We had a few days in a row close to 40ºC/104ºF outside and it’s impossible to cool the house even if we pull down all the shades all day long and open every single door and window all night long .
And no , I’m not complaining , just saying what’s been going on , and I know that a few of you had it much hotter and a few others would love just a bit of this hotness .
It’s a bit colder in my basement ( a cool 😉 25ºC/77ºF) but I’m still not allowed to be walking up and down the stairs all day long .
So I can’t wait for the next few days when it’s supposed to cool down a bit , and when I get rid of all the stitches and will be allowed to start showering as freely and as frequently as I want to 🙂 Partial showers as clean as they might get you don’t cut it in the relaxing and refreshing power of a full on jet of cold water .
Through all of this the Husband came up trumps and my little otter girl – even if she is in the midst of “the getting back to college in a few days stressing out period” and “adjusting” (hard , hard work) to not being a teen anymore (she just turned 20 a few days ago) kept to her usual awesome 🙂
Thank you all for your good wishes and thoughts ❤
I am OK , surgery went very very well and only two weeks later I feel so much better than before . And now that my center of gravity is back where it is supposed to be (and not shifted by my sizable “bump”) I am closer to my dream of learning to surf 🙂
I will not go into further details either on a post or on comments , but I will answer any questions or concerns you might have if you will e-mail me 😉
I’ve been missing you and I’m looking forward to (very very slowly – my brain is busted and sitting at the table where my “no longer a laptop” is , becomes very uncomfortable after a while) come update with what you all have been doing in your blogs 🙂
So glad to be back
Turtle Hugs ❤
edited to add : and of course my two older kids are being awesome as well , just didn’t mention them because as they are living in their own houses they are lucky to escape the craziness on a daily basis 🙂 🙂 🙂
Miss you, dear turtle. Hope 2017 will bring better times for you.

Very glad you’re back and healing. I’ve been a bad blogger this last month too, my only excuse I’ve been travelling. But do enjoy your natural heat (while it lasts) and lack of air-conditioning: I’m in the USA right now, which I adore, except for the freezing cold artificial blasts of air in all homes and indoor public places. Physically stressful and unhealthy 😦

Welcome back!
In retrospect, I should never have stressed about going to college – I should have enjoyed every moment of its lack of responsibility!

Hello Turtle. I wish you good health and a swift recovery. I had a full hysterectomy when I was 45 and it was the best thing I did. Once I was fully healed, my life was so much better and I hope yours will be too. Remember that your wound needs to heal. Hugs from Texas. xxxx
